Crafted in limited runs from rare, hand-selected British full-grain hides, this 100% cotton, soft-touch rope lead pairs timeless design with uncompromising craftsmanship—for dogs with undeniable character.

At The Gentry, we obsess over materials so you don’t have to. Each piece starts with full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, sustainably produced in the UK and handpicked for its natural grain, rich tone, and "pick up"—a feature that helps the leather develop a unique, lived-in patina over time.

Growth marks may be visible—signs of unprocessed, natural leather. Our hides are selected in small batches, making every piece subtly unique.

Handmade in Surrey using traditional tools and techniques, the lead is finished with solid cast brass hardware—just like our original collars, still shining strong with care.

Care Instructions

Leather
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather treated with a natural balm. Durable, but not waterproof.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth, let dry, then apply the included balm using a soft sponge or cloth.

Tip: For dogs that pull, choose darker tones like Chestnut over dyed options like Leaf Green, which may show wear over time.

Brass Hardware
Long-lasting and elegant. Restore shine with brass polish (e.g. Brasso), avoiding contact with leather and rope.

Cotton Rope
Not machine washable. Clean gently using a soft-bristle brush and mild soap. With care, it will refresh beautifully.
