Crafted in limited runs from rare, hand-selected British full-grain leather, this vegetable-tanned lead blends timeless design with exceptional craftsmanship—for dogs with true character.

At The Gentry, we’re meticulous about materials. Each piece starts with full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, sustainably produced in the UK and hand-selected for its unique grain, rich tone, and natural "pick up"—allowing the leather to develop a beautiful, lived-in patina over time.

Natural growth marks are a hallmark of quality and authenticity. These hides are chosen in small batches, so every collar is subtly unique.

Handmade in Surrey using traditional tools and techniques, each piece features solid cast brass hardware—durable, timeless, and still used in our very first collars.

Solid brass double-capped rivets and hardware
2cm wide / 3.4mm thick Lyvden leather
Lead length: 100cm (incl. handle)
(For a shorter lead, leave a note at checkout. Longer lengths unavailable due to full-hide usage.)

Care Instructions

Leather
Durable but not waterproof. Clean with a damp cloth, allow to dry, and apply a small amount of the included balm with a soft cloth or sponge.

Tip: For strong pullers, avoid lighter or dyed colours to minimise visible wear.

Brass Hardware
Built to last. Restore shine with a small amount of brass polish (e.g. Brasso), avoiding contact with leather or rope.
